In its first major redesign since 2006, the MacBook 13-inch white won several resources in the Pro version, as in one-piece structure with a new design, glass trackpad and LED-backlit display (backlit). But it was not just the aesthetics that the equipment has improved. Macworld performed 16 tests of performance with the new model and found that it beat the MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2.26 GHz chip
New design
One of the great differences in the new MacBook is the construction in a single block of polycarbonate (plastic). In other versions of MacBooks, Apple uses to manufacture the aluminum block. Despite the limitation of battery, the User can easily access the slot of RAM and hard drive to make the appropriate updates.
In our tests, the battery lasted four hours and nine minutes while we watched a video in QuickTime X in full screen at maximum brightness, but with the AirPort off. There are seven hours disclosed, but it’s a very good result. It was exactly the same duration observed in the MacBook Pro 13 “2.26GHz, and 40 minutes more than the previous MacBook.
